THE SPLATTERED RAT

Good Drinks. Good Music.

And normally football on the TV.

Home: Welcome

THE LEGEND OF THE SPLATTERED RAT.

The Splattered Rat was first thought of during Covid lockdown 2 in January 2021, Myself and my wife Jayne were taking our dog Lilly for a walk on a brisk cold hangover free Sunday morning and I happened to mention that we should get a bar for the garden as it looks like Boris is going to keep us locked up for a while longer.

After a couple of minutes discussion about where, type and how big Jayne asked what should we call the bar? At the time there was a dead rat on the path (RIP) and I said how about "The Splattered Rat" and thats where it came from.

We looked at loads of different types of bars. Bars with outside seating, inside seating, open fronted etc. We decided as we live in a traditionally cold area that inside seating would be a much better option. So after looking absolutely everywhere we decided on a Pent bar from R&B Sheds in Peterlee, which was handy as it is less than a mile away from where we live.

We also added extra decking for outside seating for when it is warmer and obviously we bought a patio heater to take the chill off while sitting outside when the sun goes down.

OUR DRINKS

All drinks are supplied by yourself and anything you leave is there for your next visit.
We now have a Perfect Draft machine which I am currently in the process of trying as many beers and lagers as possible, see reviews below, Most Kegs are bought directly from Beer Hawk although I do buy some Kegs from NISA at Barmston in Washington.

I also have my SUB which holds only 2-3 pints, but is an alternative to Beer Hawk beers and this is from Beerwulf which is the same company that supplies drinks to Blade machines.
